Do I need to pay anything to use Satoshi Notes software?
For the desktop note-taking software that works in your computer you do not need to pay anything, it's completely free. However, to publish notes on the Internet or to sell your notes for Bitcoin there is a need to place them live on the Internet. This means a server has to be connected 24x7 to provide the content. For this we have a low price of $19 per year. In fact those $19 may last longer because you pay for what you use. There will be zero ads, and your content will be hosted in a powerful, and safe Crypto Cloud: the Internet Computer. If you publish large amounts of files, or have massive vistors and sales, there might be a need to place additional funds in your account, but this is very unlikely for most people. If you ever need to do it, you will know this because because your ICP balance is visible in the Satoshi Notes software, it will be near zero, you can see this in the "Cloud and Wallet" tab, and also via the battery indicator on the top right corner of our Satoshi Notes desktop software.
How do I pay to enable online features that allow me to publish notes, or sell them for Bitcoin?
You pay us using the ICP token, which is the cryptocurrency of the Internet Computer, the blockchain we use to deliver you our features and Bitcoin support. To actually pay us Satoshi Notes desktop software has a wallet feature that can receive your payment. You can buy ICP at Coinbase, Binance, OKX, and over 200 other crypto currency exchanges, you can also buy it using a credit card using ICP's main Wallet here: https://nns.ic0.app and sending us the payment via the Satoshi Notes desktop app.
How do I use the Satoshi Notes Wallet to pay you and activate the Internet publishing and selling features?
First, after you install the software, on the left side of the app you will notice a entry that says: "Identity and Keys" click it, and create a new Identity. This is the anonymous account for your software. Click on the Create Wallet button, and save the seed phrase if you ever need to recover the account. Second connect to the Account, click on the connect button and wait a few seconds. Now you only need to send funds to your wallet to be able to publish notes online, or sell them for Bitcoin. Finally click on the "Cloud and Wallet" item on the left sidebar of the app, then notice the section called "Account Information" that ICP Address is where you will send us the ICP payment. It will look like this, a long account number: 4cabafa2a51af3e4ae7375db123456ee9ca91439c0e2e651ee760f123456789a. To make it easy for you we placed an icon next to the number it resembles two sheets of paper, click it and you will have copied that number where you must send the ICP. From your favorite wallet send USD$ 19 to your ICP Address, and your software will then be able to publish notes online, and sell them for Bitcoin. After you do send the money, click on the button that says "Activate Account" in a few seconds you will see that you have a balance visible, and your account is fully enabled to publish and sell online!
